How to Power Down and Lockout the Test Stand from Auto Mode

This procedure describes how to power down and lockout the Test Stand to a complete controlled energy state from AUTO CYCLE.

PROCEDURE:
  1. Press the STOP AUTO CYCLE Pushbutton on the Siemens Control Panel. The START AUTO CYCLE Pushbutton will start to flash if a part is being tested.

NOTE:The Test Stand will stop in the HOME position and the START AUTO CYCLE Pushbutton will go out when the cycle is complete.
  2. Press the POWER OFF Pushbutton. The FAULT RESET Pushbutton and the EMERGENCY STOP Pushbutton will begin to flash.
  3. Pull down the Test Stand's (E-1) STATION MAIN ELECTRICAL DISCONNECT to the OFF position. This will power down the MAIN ELECTRICAL PANEL and the DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL located on the mezzanine.
  4. Lockout the (E-1) STATION MAIN ELECTRICAL DISCONNECT.
  5. Push in the Test Stand's (A-1) STATION MAIN AIR DISCONNECT to the OFF position. A brief air rushing sound will be heard and the pressure gage to the right will go to zero.
  6. Lockout the (A-1) STATION MAIN AIR DISCONNECT.
  7. Turn the (H-1) STATION MAIN HYDRAULIC BALL VALVE to the OFF position. This supplies hydraulic fluid from the Hydraulic Power Unit to the stations hydraulic cylinders, valves and solenoids.
  8. Lockout the (H-1) STATION MAIN HYDRAULIC BALL VALVE.
  9. Turn the (H-2) STATION MAIN HYDRAULIC BALL VALVE to the OFF position. This returns hydraulic fluid from the stations hydraulic cylinders, valves and solenoids back to the Hydraulic Power Unit.
  10. Lockout the (H-2) STATION MAIN HYDRAULIC BALL VALVE.
  11. Turn the (H-3) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE to the OFF position. This supplies clean Transmission Test Oil to the Test Stand and is used to fill the transmission before testing.
  12. Lockout the (H-3) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE.
  13. Turn the (H-4) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE to the OFF position. This sub-system receives clean Transmission Test Oil through (H-1). It keeps this Test Oil warm by continuously circulating it through the Test Stand.
  14. Lockout the (H-4) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE.
  15. Turn the (H-5) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE to the OFF position. This returns the used Test Oil back to the Tank Farm after it has been used in the testing process.
  16. Lockout the (H-5) STATION TEST OIL BALL VALVE.
