How to Power Up the Mezzanine Panels

This procedure describes how to power up the Main Electrical Panel and the Drive/Absorber Panel located on the mezzanine above the Test Stands.

Power to these panels is supplied through the (E-1) STATION MAIN DISCONNECT mounted to the side of the station's safety enclosure. This should be turned on prior to performing this procedure.

PROCEDURE:
  1. Locate the Main Electrical Panel and the Drive/Absorber Panel on the mezzanine for the Test Stand you would like to power up.
  2. Check the Ground Lights on the front of the Main Electrical Panel Door.

    NOTE: If these light are on, the (E-3) MAIN PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT located inside the cabinet is already turned on.
  3. If these Ground Lights are OFF. Open the right Main Electrical Panel Door to access the (E-3) MAIN PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT located inside.
  4. Remove any lockout devices from the (E3) MAIN PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT.
  5. Turn the (E-3) MAIN PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT to the ON position. The interior panel lights and the two Ground Lights on the panel door will come on.
  6. Close and latch the Main Electrical Panel Door.
  7. Remove any lockout devices from the (E-2) MAIN PANEL MAIN DISCONNECT.
  8. Push the Test Stand's (E-2) MAIN PANEL MAIN DISCONNECT up to the ON position. All lights on the front of the Main Electrical Panel Door should be on.
  9. Open the DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL right door to access the (E-5) DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT located inside.
  10. Remove any lockout devices from the (E-5) DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT.
  11. Turn the (E-5) DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL AUXILIARY DISCONNECT to the ON position. The interior panel lights will come on.
  12. Remove any lockout devices from the (E-4) DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL MAIN DISCONNECT.
  13. Push up the Test Stand's (E-4) DRIVE/ABSORBER PANEL MAIN DISCONNECT to the ON position. The Test Stand's mezzanine panels are powered up.
