OP-50 Stations Overview

The OP-50 Stations accept the Carrier after it cycles through the OP-40 Stations. At OP-50, the Carrier is lifted into position, a check is made to verify that all washers are present in the Gear Stack, and then the Shaft Press stakes the Pinion Shaft. Then, the Carrier rotates 120 degrees and the process is repeated for the 2nd Gear Stack and Pinion Shaft. The Carrier rotates 120 degrees one more time and the process is repeated for the 3rd and final Gear Stack and Pinion Shaft.

There are two OP-50 Rear Stations (50R-1 & R-2):

There is also a Push-Out / Reject Station in OP-50.

The Push-Out Station is used to test Carriers after they cycle through OP-50 F-1, R-1 and R-2. The Push-Out Station uses a Promess Press with a Punch tool on the end to push the Shafts out of the Carrier. The Promess Press records the tonnage that is required to push out the Shaft.

The Reject Station accepts Carriers that are rejected at any of the OP-50 Stations or at Station OP-70R-1. The Status Screen on the HMI will provide information on the reject that is currently stopped in the Reject Station.
