This procedure explains how to change the Robot tooling when changing over to run a new part.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Enter the Robot area and use an Allen wrench to remove the the bolt and washer from the end of the Left Gripper tooling.
  2. Grasp the Left Gripper locking pin, push down on the button with your thumb and pull the locking pin out.
  3. Then, slide the Left Gripper out from the fixture.
  4. Take the other size Left Gripper and slide it into the fixture.
  5. Position the Left Gripper over the correct position hole, and then reinstall the locking pin.
  6. Reinstall the bolt and washer.
  7. Next, use the Allen wrench to remove the the bolt and washer from the end of the Right Gripper tooling.
  8. Grasp the Right Gripper locking pin, push down on the button with your thumb and pull the locking pin out.
  9. Then, slide the Right Gripper out from the fixture.
  10. Take the other size Right Gripper and slide it into the fixture.
  11. Position the Right Gripper over the correct position hole and then reinstall the locking pin.
  12. Reinstall the bolt and washer.
  13. Verify you have the same type tooling installed on each Gripper. You can tell the difference between the tooling by the length of the nylon roller shafts.
