This procedure explains how to select Tool Frame 1.
Checking or changing Teach Points without selecting the correct Tool Frame can cause unexpected Robot movements with the possibility of collisions.
PROCEDURE:
- Go to the Robot Control Panel and turn the mode keyswitch to the T1 position.
When in T1 mode, the Robot speed is limited to 250 mm/s.
- Turn the Robot Teach Pendant On/Off switch to the ON position.
- Pick up the Teach Pendant and push the MENU key to display the Menus Screen.
- Push down and hold either SHIFT key and then push the COORD key.
- The COORD pop-up box appears.
- Push the 1 key to select Tool Frame 1. Once the key is pushed, the pop-up will close.
Any other defined Tool Frame can be selected by pushing the appropriate numeric key. For example, if you wanted to select Tool Frame 2, you would push the "2" numeric key.
Since you cannot manually select Tool Frame "0", you must enter the number of a Tool Frame that is undefined (such as Tool Frame "3" in Zone 2).
- Push the SHIFT and COORD keys again to view the pop-up and verify the Tool Frame has changed to "1".
